This is a comissioned album cover for *Kingfelagund (a joy to work with) and Myopia. It's meant to cover both the front and back of a jewel case insert. _Duh.

This is a mythological narrative about the origin of music. *Kingfelagund provided guidelines for the appearance of the characters and setting, but mostly just let me run with the concept and do whatever. I had fun, needless to say.

The stylistically flat, ornamental look wasn't what I originally intended for this piece, but I like the end result. Probably a good thing I do, since this took an unprecedented number of hours to finish. (Don't ask me how long it took. I don't remember.)

Anyway, enjoy. I'm trying to move away from gratuitous glow effects so this might be the last time you see me using them on this sort of scale. :B

I know the lighting makes no sense, but do things have to be realistic to be believable...? Erm. I'm still trying to figure that one out.
